Sofia Military District Prosecutor’s Office files indictment against outgoing Defense Minister Nenchev

The Sofia Military District Prosecutor’s Office has filed an indictment against Bulgaria’s outgoing Minister of Defense Nikolay Nenchev over a deal for the manufacture of military clothing. According to the prosecutor’s office, the Ministry of Defense incurred losses to the tune of over EUR 125,000 from that deal. As a result of Minister Nenchev’s actions, which violated the Public Procurement Act, the Defense Ministry signed a contract with a company, different from the one which won the public procurement tender, The Sofia Military District Prosecutor’s Office contends.
