40 kilograms of heroin seized in Yambol region

During a police operation in Yambol, Southeastern Bulgaria, some 40 kg of heroin, worth over 1 million euro were seized. Four men who were selling the drug on the streets of Yambol, Radovets and Topolovgrad were arrested. The heroin was intended for domestic use and the amount is one of the largest seized inside the country. In the summer at the Lesovo border checkpoint, located in the same region, an Iranian truck driver transporting 400 kilograms of heroin was arrested.
