The gala concert in support of the Bulgarian Christmas charity campaign will be held tonight at the Ivan Vazov National Theater in Sofia. Like previous editions, this year the campaign raises funds for children with serious chronic health conditions. Outgoing President Rosen Plevneliev was explicit that the Bulgarian Christmas should continue its noble mission and activity: “The goal is to help children with serious chronic illnesses by providing state-of-the-art high-tech equipment for accurate diagnostics and for up-to-date treatment and rehabilitation in university and district hospitals. Hundreds of Bulgarians sent text messages and thus donate 50 eurocent to a child in trouble. A deep bow to all of you, and go on doing this”, President Rosen Plevneliev said in an emotional address.
