150,000 Bulgarians set to spend holidays abroad

Close to half a million Bulgarians will avail themselves of the services of travel agencies in the last ten days of December, of them around 150,000 will be travelling abroad, according to data of the Institute for Assessment and Analysis in Tourism. 

Travel agencies have registered a heightened interest in affordable and “warm” countries like Portugal, Cyprus and Malta. The most popular exotic destinations for wealthier Bulgarians for the New Year are Vietnam and the Maldives. The latest top New Year destination is Georgia at prices of around 600 euro for one week.
