Ferries blocked by ice impede traffic to Romania

The Bulgarian Border Police have reported that because of ice formation on the Danube, ferry crossings have stopped operating and traffic of trucks leaving the country at the Bulgarian-Romanian border is extremely intense. At the checkpoint of Danube Bridge at Vidin trucks have formed a 14-km long queue, while the queue at the Danube Bridge border checkpoint at Ruse is about 13 kilometers long. At the Kapitan Andreevo border checkpoint with Turkey, traffic is also intense and the line of trucks there is about 7 kilometers long.
