Head of state Rumen Radev joins European Council informal meeting

President Rumen Radev has joined an informal meeting of the European Council underway in Malta. In Valetta the state and government leaders of the European Union member countries are discussing issues pertaining to migration pressure on Europe, as well as Brexit, Britain’s plans to exit the bloc. On the sidelines of the summit the Bulgarian president met for talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. The two leaders have discussed the forthcoming official visit of President Radev to Germany and EU agenda topics. Radev and Merkel have confirmed Bulgaria and Germany’s will for all-round development of bilateral relations.
