Bulgarian caretaker government present priorities to diplomatic missions

At a meeting with heads of diplomatic missions to Bulgaria, caretaker Prime Minister Gerdzhikov outlined the main priorities and tasks of the current caretaker government.

The Prime Minister said that apart from ensuring the normal functioning of institutions and holding of early elections, a key priority of his office would be preparing the Bulgarian presidency of the EU. Deputy PM Denitsa Dlateva, responsible for the preparation of the Presidency, rejected speculations the Bulgaria may be stripped of the rotational presidency or that the country would reject to take it.

Foreign Minister Radi Naydenov vowed that the caretaker government would ensure continuity and stability in the foreign policy priorities of this country.
