Market Links: BSP ahead of GERB by less than one percent

If the general elections were to be held now the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) would win by a narrow margin and five parties would enter parliament, indicate data of a nationwide survey, conducted by Market Links.

21.4 percent of the respondents say they would cast their vote for the Bulgarian Socialist Party and 20.8 percent for GERB. Third comes the United Patriots coalition with 7.1 percent. Veselin Mareshki’s Volya (Will) would wins 6.2 percent of the votes, with the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) coming fifth with 6.1 percent. The respondents say that the biggest problem facing the country is poverty and low incomes, with corruption coming second, followed by unemployment, poor administration and healthcare. 58 percent say they will definitely go to the polls.
