Bulgaria’s caretaker cabinet will not nominate the country’s new EU Commissioner until March 26 when early Parliamentary elections will be held, Bulgaria’s caretaker Premier Ognyan Gerdzhikov announced on Wednesday. Premier Gerdzhikov, however, did not rule out the possibility for his cabinet to stay longer in office after the forthcoming elections, if the results of the elections do not allow quick formation of new cabinet. If the formation of the regular cabinet is prolonged, the caretaker cabinet will have to nominate the EU Commissioner, Ognyan Gerdzhikov specified.
