SANS imposes sanctions on two more Turkish citizens

Photo: BGNES

The Bulgarian State Agency "National Security" (SANS) has announced that it imposed the sanction of expulsion to a Turkish national who had resided in Bulgaria for years as an employee of a Turkish state institution. Other measures imposed on the Turkish citizen include, "withdrawal of the right of residence" and "prohibition of entry into Bulgaria" for a period of five years. The person had carried out activities aiming to create anti-Bulgarian attitudes in regions with mixed population and was threatening the unity of the Bulgarian nation.

Another Turkish citizen has been included in the list of unwanted foreign nationals because of attempts to acquire information that is a state secret and because of activities against the unity of the nation, as well as attempts to influence Bulgarian institutions for the benefit of foreign interests.

Because of activities against the Bulgarian national security administrative measures against three other Turkish citizens were taken last week.
