Record amount of heroin seized at Bulgarian-Romanian border

A record amount of 423 kilograms of heroin with purity of 70 per cent were seized at the Vidin - Calafat border crossing at the Bulgarian-Romanian border, it was reported. The heroin is worth over 30 million euro. It was found hidden in a truck transporting terraccota products.

The truck came from Iran, passed through Turkey and its final destination was the Netherlands. The truck driver - a 56-year-old Bulgarian and the manager of the Bulgarian trucking company have been arrested.
