A survey by the National Statistical Institute for April shows a decline in industrial production, construction and retail sales in Bulgaria. The Industrial Production Index declined by 1.2 percent compared to the level in March. At the same time, output in the construction sector decreased by 1.8 percent and the turnover in retail trade decreased by 0.5 percent. Latest data do not show keeping the good economic momentum in the January-March period, when GDP expanded by 3.5% on an annual basis, economists said.
