BSP to have right of use of Monument at Buzludzha for a period of 10 years

The Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) has agreed to the state’s handing the monument at Buzludzha peak over to it for a period of ten years.

The BSP has agreed to accept this formula, after it transpired this week that the deadline had been missed when the BSP could have had the property transferred for an unlimited period. Six years ago the state expressed a willingness to transfer ownership of the monument to the BSP, but the party failed to take the necessary steps. This is the reason why this formula is now being proposed - that the monument be transferred for use by the party, free of charge, for a period not exceeding 10 years, with the right to do reconstruction work.
