Bulgaria is doing its best to remain key factor in construction of Balkan gas distribution hub: Valentin Nikolov

Bulgaria is doing its best to remain a key factor in the construction of the Balkan gas distribution center and the fulfillment of the Turkish stream gas project, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy, Energy and Tourism in the National Assembly of Bulgaria Valentin Nikolov said. In his view, the European Commission must be very well informed about Bulgaria’s intentions and plans, in order to give a green light for that project. It is a good sign that Minister Petkova signed in Saint Petersburg a road map with Gazprom on studying the gas transmission network in Bulgaria. The future Balkan gas hub is expected to receive gas from Russia, Iran, Azerbaijan, the Caspian region, as well as from the Bulgarian and the Romanian section of the Black Sea.
