Bulgarians are aware of the benefits of joining the Eurozone, but are afraid of a possible rise in prices and actually fear the adoption of the euro, Boryana Dimitrova from Alfa Research Agency has reported.

The benefits of using the euro are recognized by almost half of respondents, but just 32 percent support the adoption of the joint EU currency in Bulgaria, while 45% oppose such plans.

At the same time, 50% of polled people want Bulgaria to join the Schengen area and just 23% oppose it, according to the latest survey of the agency.
