Bulgaria and Montenegro cannot utilize the full potential of their bilateral economic contacts and investment cooperation due to the lack of a suitable transport, energy and digital connectivity in the region, Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev said in Cetinje, Montenegro. President Radev pointed out that Montenegro President Filip Vujanovic and Montenegro Premier Dusko Markovic also shared that stand. Rumen Radev said categorically that the accession of Montenegro to the European Union will improve the economic perspective of the whole region, but the two countries should hurry up encouraging the bilateral economic exchange. Presidents Radev and Vujanovic discussed possible launching of a direct airline between Podgorica and Sofia as a step towards the improvement of the coherence between Bulgaria and Montenegro. Rumen Radev and Filip Vujanovic also discussed possibilities for connection of the power systems of the two countries as well as perspectives for cooperation in tourism.
