Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs wants to settle, with Bulgaria, the issue of control of exports to third countries of weapons, manufactured with expired Soviet licences, Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the ministry said in an interview for Russia-24 TV.

“The question of settling licence relations with Bulgaria which includes control of the export of the respective production occupies an important place in bilateral dialogue. We are relying on the Bulgarian authorities to demonstrate political will in settling a given problem which casts a shadow over what is, on the whole, fruitful bilateral cooperation on most other issues,” Zakharova said.
