Injured parties in Sarafovo suicide bomb attack demand that Hezbollah be a party to the case

Georgi Ushev, chair of the Bulgarian Specialised Criminal Court has stated that the victims of the bomb attack at Sarafovo airport in Bourgas, carried out five years ago today, have demanded that the military wing of the Lebanese Hezbollah militant group be a party to the case.

Five years after the suicide bomb attack and one year after the indictment was filed at the Specialised Criminal Court, the “Sarafovo” trial has not yet begun on merits because it has proved impossible to subpoena all injured parties and the heirs to the Israeli citizens who lost their lives. The next attempt to start court proceedings will be on 20 September.
