Hemus motorway is extremely important for North Bulgaria and we will complete its construction, Bulgaria’s Premier Boyko Borissov told the delegates of the Congress of the European Democrat Students held in Varna. The road toll system will be introduced in 2018 and we are to collect some EUR 700 million from toll taxes. Currently, the revenues from vignettes amount to EUR 150 million per year only. Some new sections of Hemus motorway may be completed by 2020, Premier Borissov further said.
