An intense forest fire near the city of Burgas has been put out, authorities reported. In addition to firefighters, some 65 military men from the regions of Sliven and Yambol took part in combating the fire, as well as a special military helicopter.
The situation is under control but firefighters will remain in position in case the fire started again because of the wind and high temperatures, the firefighting service in Burgas reported.
