The participants in the 62nd international tourist regatta along the Danube River are expected to arrive in the Bulgarian town of Vidin. The regatta started out from Ingolstadt in Germany in June and will end in September in the river’s delta.
“The participants in the regatta expected in Vidin number almost 100. The site singled out for their tent camp is near Baba Vida fortress,” said Emilia Nikolova, director of “Humanitarian activities” at Vidin municipality. “Vidin municipality has undertaken to organize everything needed around the tent camp. Showers have been provided, the place has been secured. There is water, electricity.”
On Monday the participants in the regatta will meet with representatives of the municipality and on the following day, will leave for Lom. The entire regatta covers more than 2,000 kms. The participants join it at different stages.
