Total income per person in a household in the second quarter of 2017 was 1,355 BGN /695 EUR/, which is 9.4 percent more compared to the same period in 2016, the National Statistical Institute reports. At the same time, the total costs per household member increased by 11.1 percent to 612 euros. The largest share of incomes was spent on food (32.5%), followed by housing (16.4%), taxes and social security payments (13.6 percent), as well as transportation and communications (11.3 percent).
