Bulgaria shocked by attacks in Barcelona

Regarding the attacks in central Barcelona, in which ​​many citizens were killed and injured, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev said this was yet another terrorist attack on a European country that called for unity in the fight against this common threat to all societies.

In a condolence message to his Spanish counterpart Mariano Rajoy, Prime Minister Boyko Borisov said that Bulgaria was deeply shocked by this act of cruelty and violence against civilians and expressed solidarity and unconditional support to the Spanish people, adding the government would continue to actively participate in the fight of the international community against terrorism.

The foreign ministry reported that there were no Bulgarians injured in the events in Barcelona.
