Employers refuse to hold negotiations on minimum insurable earnings

Photo: library

The third round of negotiations between the trade unions and employers on setting down the minimum insurable earnings in different sectors should take place in Sofia today.

However, a representative of the Bulgarian Industrial Association told the Bulgarian National Radio that employers will, once again, refuse to take part in the talks, stating that such a practice did not exist in the EU countries. Unless this dialogue takes place, the minimum insurance earnings will, once again, have to be set down by the minister of labour and social policy, as has been the case in previous years.
