Foreign citizens have tried to prevent a police check at Kapitan Andreevo Border on the Turkish border. The incident occurred when a van with a man, three women and two children inside tried to enter Bulgaria.

The passengers are relatives, as some of them are German citizens of Turkish origin, while the others were Turkish citizens with residence cards in Germany.

After the passport control, border police officers requested that the vehicle be physically checked for hidden persons. The travelers refused to leave the vehicle and the driver set off. When officers tried to detain them, they resisted, resulting in a broken leg of a policeman.

A thorough customs check was carried out on the vehicle and no hidden persons were found. Prosecution was informed about the case and an investigation started.
