80% of all foreign seasonal workers in Bulgaria are Ukrainian citizens

Bulgaria’s National Employment Agency announced that 80% of all foreign seasonal workers that received work permit are Ukrainian citizens. Since the beginning of 2017 a total of 3 215 foreign nationals have been employed for up to 90 days mainly in the tourism field along Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast. 125 blue cards have been issued since the beginning of 2017 to foreign nationals, mainly citizens of Russia, Ukraine, India, China, Macedonia and the USA who were employed as IT experts, engineers and managers.
