In an interview to media, Greek Minister of Transport Christos Spirtzis has commented plans for building a rail link between the three Greek ports of Thessaloniki, Kavala and Alexandroupolis and Bulgarian Black Sea ports, as well as the Danube. Greek ports as well as Bulgaria's Burgas, Varna and Rousse will have access to larger commercial markets with the expansion of the transport corridor.
