Bulgaria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs firmly condemns the sixth nuclear test of the Democratic Peoples’ Republic of Korea on September 3, 2017. This was another heavy provocation and violation of the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council. Bulgaria categorically condemns such actions which further boost tension in that region and threaten global peace and security. We call on North Korea to cease once and for all its nuclear and ballistic programme and fully fulfill its international commitments. That country should also enter into a constructive dialogue with the international community, in order to find a peaceful way out of that situation, Bulgaria's Foreign Ministry also states.
