Dozens of citizens and journalists gathered downtown Sofia to voice their categorical stand against the imposition of censorship and pressure on media by politicians. One of the reasons that caused the protest was the ultimatum of Bulgaria’s Deputy Premier Valeri Simeonov who demanded apology from the four biggest national media in Bulgaria. The protest was organized by the Bulgarian section of the Association of European Journalists who underlined that the event was a citizens’ initiative and was not of political nature.
