Sofia Marathon 2017 takes place in Bulgaria’s capital on October 15

Over 2,500 amateur athletes from 5 continents are taking part at the Sofia Marathon 2017 on Sunday. The start of the event was given in front of Vasil Levski National Stadium at 10 am. The event will last until 4 pm. This year the marathon is again part of the initiative Sofia- European Capital of Sports 2018. The total prize fund of the marathon is EUR 30,000. Participants can choose between four distances- 3,10.5, 21 and 42.195 kilometers.
