Sofia hosts Bulgaria-Canada business forum

Sofia is playing host to the first of its kind Bulgarian-Canadian business forum Why Canada? aimed to provide information about trade relations between the two countries.

The enforcement of CETA, the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement, between the EU and Canada, is of particular importance for Bulgarian producers because it opens doors for them to a huge market including the public procurement market in Canada at both central and local levels. This is the message of the representative of the organizers Alex Nestor, Vice President of the Canada Bulgaria Business Network.

Currently Bulgaria exports to Canada goods and services worth 82 million euro per annum placing the North American country in the 11th notch among Bulgaria’s key partners in trade outside the EU.
