A protest demanding the resignation of Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova will be held on Sunday in Bulgaria’s capital. The protest was organized by the Save Sofia civil initiative. Poor quality repairs and maintenance works, polluted air and overbuilding are among the motives of the organizers for that demand. Yordanka Fandakova described the initiative as political attack. The election campaign has already started, but I will continue to do my job, because we do it for our city, Yordanka Fandakova said. I accept any criticism. Nobody is perfect and we face some problems, especially when we work on a large scale, but we should overcome the problems and continue forward and develop our city, Sofia Mayor Fandakova further replied.
