On the second day of his visit to Cyprus, President Rumen Radev met with representatives of the Bulgarian community on the island. The meeting took place in Lakatamia, where the head of state participated in a ceremony for the opening of a street bearing the name of Bulgarian national hero Vasil Levski.
President Radev praised highly the efforts of compatriots, thanks to whom ten Bulgarian weekend schools function in Cyprus; there are church services in Bulgarian language, as well as Bulgarian theatre and journalism there.
