Premier Borissov expects maximum progress in talks between UK and EU during Bulgarian Presidency of Council of EU

At a briefing in Sofia with the EU Chief Negotiator for Brexit Michel Barnier Bulgaria’s Premier Boyko Borissov voiced expectations that a maximum progress would be made in the talks between Great Britain and the EU during the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union. It requires huge joint efforts, because the separation of Great Britain from the EU will be a difficult process and after Brexit the money in the annual budget of the European Commission will be EUR 10 billion less, Premier Borissov pointed out. Michel Barnier said in return that Bulgaria is ready for the forthcoming Presidency of the Council of the EU and thanked Premier Borissov for Bulgaria’s commitment to continue the talks with the United Kingdom.  The EU Chief Negotiator for Brexit Michel Barnier also talked with Bulgarian MPs, representatives of labor unions and employers during his visit to Sofia.
