Bulgaria actively supports Europol in combating different types of crime

Speaking at a conference in Sofia on security and cooperation between the European Union and Great Britain after Brexit, Europol Executive Director Rob Wainwright said Bulgaria had in the recent years actively supported Europol in combating different types of crime.

In Wainwright’s words Europe now faces its highest threat for a generation. 

The Europol head is confident that the United Kingdom will continue playing a significant role in Europe’s security.

Rob Wainwright sees cybersecurity as a major challenge to Europe, as radical ideas gain wide currency on the internet.
