Representatives of Bulgarian businesses are not excited by the prospects they are presented with by the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Businesses are in two minds where Bulgaria’s accession to the Eurozone is concerned as well. This is suggested by a poll conducted by the Bulgarian Industrial Association.

According to the poll only one-quarter of companies are looking forward to direct effect of the EU Presidency on their operations. Most of the them believe that the Presidency is an image event which will improve in principle the business environment, and attract investor interest including foreign direct investments – in short businesses expect indirect gains for their operations. 43% of businesses support accession to the Eurozone.
