Estonia supports Bulgaria’s accession to Schengen

Estonia supports Bulgaria’s accession to the Schengen Area and the topic will be part of the agenda of the European Council in the coming months, Estonian Deputy Minister for European Affairs Matti Maasikas said in an interview for the Bulgarian National Radio. Matti Maasikas welcomed Bulgaria’s decision to place the EU integration of the Western Balkans among its priorities during the rotating Presidency of the Council of the EU and voiced expectations that the EU enlargement policy will resume. Deputy Minister Maasikas expressed confidence that the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union will be successful.
