An earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale shook Plovdiv and Assenovgrad in Southern Bulgaria during the night.
The tremor was felt by people living on the upper floors in Sofia as well. The National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography reports of dozens of aftershocks of smaller magnitude.
