Balkan energy regulators meet in Veliko Turnovo

A regional meeting of the national energy regulators of the Balkan countries is taking place in Veliko Turnovo today.

The participants are discussing gas connectivity aimed at attaining energy security in the region, the Komotini–Stara Zagora gas connection project as an important element of the construction of the Southern Gas Corridor which would create opportunities for alternative gas routes and suppliers to the Balkans and to Europe, the readiness of the countries of Southeast Europe to unite their electric energy markets.
