Prime Minister Boyko Borissov will be in Skopje today to take part in a commemorative ceremony on the 75th anniversary of the deportation of Jews from the territory of present-day Macedonia. Borissov is the first Bulgarian prime minister to take part in marking this event.
The President of the Jewish community in Macedonia Berta Romano Nikolic, has told the BGNES Agency that this visit by Borissov is a significant event not only for members of the Jewish community but also for all citizens of Macedonia. He pointed out that in Bulgaria people are now more frequently talking not only about saving the Jews but also about the deportation of Jews from these lands.
In the framework of the visit Prime Minister Boyko Borissov will have talks with Macedonian PM Zoran Zaev.
