The Mission Bulgaria project will popularize Bulgarian history around the world. The initiative has spread to ten countries with lectures, to be delivered by archaeologist Prof. Nikolay Ovcharov and historical Prof. Plamen Pavlov.
The lecture cycle begins on 17 March in Kishinev, Moldova and will continue until 31 May, covering Russia, Armenia, Belgium, China, Greece, Cyprus, Hungary, Slovakia and Slovenia. The lectures will focus on prehistory in the Bulgarian lands, ancient Greek colonization of our Black Sea towns, Roman towns, the creation of the Bulgarian state, the conversion to Christianity, the Cyrillic alphabet.
