Unemployment in Bulgaria falls to 5.3%

In February 2018 the unemployment rate in the European Union fell to a new ten-year low (7.1%), data of Eurostat show. Unemployment in the Eurozone fell to 8.5%, which is the lowest level since 2008. In Bulgaria the unemployment rate dwindled to a nine year low (5.3%), Eurostat further informs. Thus, Bulgaria is the country with the eleventh-lowest unemployment rate in the EU and is among the seventeen EU member states where unemployment is lower than the EU average.
