Government set to bring external debt down to 20 percent of the GDP by end year

Commenting on the latest Eurostat report on the levels of indebtedness within the EU, according to which from 29 percent, Bulgaria has brought its external debt down to 25.4 percent of the GDP, PM Boyko Borissov stated that on this indicator, Bulgaria is third in Europe after Estonia and Luxembourg.

If the government continues its effort at this rate, by the end of the year the debt will have been brought down to around 20 percent, the Bulgarian prime minister said.
