Deputy Prime Minister Valeri Simeonov: Tourists come to Bulgaria because there is no risk of terrorist acts

“The fact there is no risk of terrorist attacks in Bulgaria has been redirecting tourists towards Bulgaria,” said Deputy Prime Minister Valeri Simeonov at a press conference in Bourgas on the Black Sea.

“You know things are different in Northern Africa, in Turkey and that is the reason why cruise ships no longer go there,” he said and added that Bulgaria remains an island of stability and tranquility, offering safe tourism.

In order to enhance security, police officers from other parts of the country will, once again this summer season, be posted in Bulgaria’s resorts on the Black Sea.
