Bulgaria and the Republic of Macedonia will work towards the consolidation and advancement of bilateral cooperation in the sphere of local government, regional development and territorial cooperation.
The government approved a draft of a memorandum of understanding between the two countries. The document envisages exchange of expertise between the two countries in regional development and competencies of the institutions in charge of regional policy. Institutions on the two side of the border will enhance cooperation for the launch and implementation of cross-border cooperation projects.
