Unemployment in Bulgaria drops to 5 percent as average EU level stabilizes at 7 percent

According to Eurostat, the average unemployment rate in the 28 Member States of the EU has stabilized at 7.0 percent in May this year, which is the lowest level for the past 10 years.

In the euro area unemployment has reached its lowest level since the end of 2008 - 8.4 percent. At the same time, unemployment in Bulgaria has fallen to a new 9-year low of 5.0 percent.
