Lilyana Pavlova: The Bulgarian presidency will be remembered for the efforts to preserve unity

“Bulgaria and our presidency will be remembered for the teamwork and for the efforts to preserve unity,” said Lilyana Pavlova, Minister for the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU at a discussion “EU in 2018: Austrian Priorities and Bulgarian Commitments”, organized by PanEuropa Bulgaria, in partnership with the Austrian embassy, the EC representation in Bulgaria, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Diplomatic Institute.

Lilyana Pavlova added that the European integration of the Western Balkans remains a main focus for the future. Roland Hauser, ambassador of Austria, the country taking over the rotating presidency, outlined Austria’s top priorities - security and combatting illegal migration, protecting prosperity and competition via digitization, the European perspective of the Western Balkans.
