Bulgaria’s unemployment rate falls to 5.7%, labor costs increase with 6.8%

In the first quarter of 2018 the unemployment rate in Bulgaria was at 5.7%, or 1.2% lower than the same period last year, the National Statistical Institute announced. According to preliminary data, the labor costs per hour increased with 6.8%. Labor costs in industry increased with 9.3%, in the service sector- with 4.5% and in construction –with 7.8%. In March 2018 the average monthly salary in this country increased with 6.9% to EUR 566.
