This is my first visit to Bulgaria after the establishment of the new Chinese government and the first stop in or European trip, the Chinese Premier Li Keqiang pointed out. Premier Li Keqiang has arrived in Sofia to take part at the7th CEEC-China 16+1 Summit. China knows that the EU is an important power for the global prosperity and will respect its market rules and the EU law, Premier Li Keqiang said after his tete-a tete meeting with his Bulgarian counterpart Boyko Borissov.

China does not aim to divide the European Union via its meetings with countries from Central and Eastern Europe in the 16+1 format. This was the message of the two prime ministers after their talks in Sofia.
