A crisis centre has been set up at the Bulgarian embassy in Athens in connection with the wildfires raging on the territory of Greece.

Deputy Foreign Minister Georg Georgiev held a telephone conversation with Bulgaria's chargé d'affaires in the Greek capital Veselin Ivanov. At this time there are no reports of Bulgarian nationals affected by or in distress as a result of the fires in Greece, which have so far killed at least 50 and injured over 100, some of them seriously.
